NRC AND ASSAM

NRC HAS ONCE AGAIN PROVED WHAT LOVE THE MAINLAND INDIANS HAVE FOR ASSAM AND THE ASSAMESE.

Today 40 lakh names could not make their way into the draft NRC and both the houses of parliament are like “No, we cannot let go our vote bank this easily. All Bangladeshis, be it Hindu or Muslim must remain in Assam. Let THE ASSAMESE be deprived of their rights in their own homeland but the right of these Bangladeshis must remain intact. They must be protected.” Some political eunuchs like the chief minister from our neighbouring state could not even control her tears and came forward and offered to give shelter to those 40 lakhs in her state. See the level of hypocrisy here. You could not control your home and you are worried about your neighbour.

The national political parties should keep one thing in mind, it was this mindset of them that gave rise to separatist ideologies. We have seen plenty of such examples in the past and it won’t be so hard to witness them again. Assam will have NRC and no one can stop us from having it.

NB:
Coming back to the “Ghar Bibhishans”(Yes I will call you by this name, you may do whatever you want. I don’t care). Everywhere , from print media to TV, it is being circulated that no one is to panic. If anyone’s name is left out from the final draft you will be given ample opportunity to edit the same. If you are really an Indian citizen, if you have migrated to India before 1973, then no one can stop you from registering your name in the NRC. I know a no. of people whose names did not appear in the final draft. They are least worried, because they know it’s only a draft and they will be given proper chance to register their names in the final list. But no… there’s one section who won’t listen. They don’t want to leave a single chance to criticize NRC because they aren’t happy with the very concept of NRC. They don’t want NRC to happen. For you my “doubtful” friends, I only have one thing to say. If you are opposing NRC, it means you oppose the ASSAM ACCORD. Opposing which means you are disrespecting the 855 martyrs who laid their lives for the sake of this land, for the sake of its people. And by doing that you have lost your very right to be called a citizen of this land. So now, it’s upto you, whether you want to stay here and be a part of this beautiful land, be a part of its wonderful culture, or move to somewhere else. Peace be upon you.
